Placing Your Implant

First, a two mm hole in the jawbone and gradually widening it in order to match before placing the titanium implant. The implant is threaded through the gum into the bone and a radiograph will be obtained from the implant. You’ll leave the office with a temporary crown that protects the implant areas and begin the healing period.

For the next two to three months, the implants will naturally fuse with your jawbone through the osseointegration process. 

Final Restoration

Most often the procedure is done in one single stage, where only one surgical visit is necessary. In some cases, the implant is placed below the gum to allow for additional bone growth through the bone graft treatment. In that case, after you’ve healed, a simple, painless procedure will be done to uncover the implant and attach the natural-looking prosthetic tooth.
