Insurance Information

     The NJ Center for Oral Surgery makes every effort to provide you with the finest care and the most convenient financial options.  Dr.'s Kirsch, Sandau and Jacobs recommends the best possible treatment  for your individual condition and not based upon insurance coverage.  To accomplish this we work hand-in-hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures.

      At your request, the NJ Center for Oral Surgery will contact your insurance before your treatment in an effort to determine your benefits.  So that you can make an informed decision about your care, they will provide this service at no additional cost, even if they are out-of-network.  Unfortunately, insurance companies may reduce or deny benefits for your treatment even after a pre-determination of benefits has been correctly done.  If this is case, you will be responsible for paying any outstanding balance within 30 days.  If you have any problems or questions, please ask their staff.  They are well informed and up-to-date.  They can be reached by phone at (973) 226-8444.

      Please bring your dental insurance information with you to your first visit.

    Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons like are the only group medical providers that routinely perform procedures that may be covered under either a dental plan, medical plan or both.  The NJ Center for Oral Surgery utilizes specialized computer programs and highly skilled and experienced insurance staff to make certain insurance claims are properly filed and coordinated.  The office submits these claims in accordance to  standards set forth by the American Dental Association and American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  Be advised, your individual insurance company may not abide by these standards.

     Coordinating benefits between insurance plans can take over five months to complete. During this time you will receive monthly statements showing the amounts outstanding to insurance and the patients responsibility.  If you have any questions as to why your insurance has not paid for your treatment the NJ Center for Oral Surgery encourages you to contact your insurance company.  The insurance experts at the NJ Center for Oral Surgery maintain detailed records of each communication made to your insurance company and can help you.
